Unfortunately, because it provides medical services, there is always the chance that something can go wrong, or a medical professional acts negligently while providing you the medical care you need. If this happens and you get hurt as a result, it can amount to medical malpractice. If this is the case, the Philadelphia medical malpractice attorneys at Gilman & Bedigian can help by representing you in court to ensure you get the compensation you need.
History of Jefferson Frankford Hospital
Jefferson Frankford Hospital was founded and built in 1903, before SEPTA’s elevated Market-Frankford Line ran through the area. Back then, the Frankford Hospital was one of the larger hospitals in the area, serving a vast swath of the medical needs of Philadelphians. However, as the city expanded and grew, Frankford Hospital’s ability to keep up faltered. In 1988, the old hospital building was torn down and the current building was constructed in its place.
Changes to the corporate structure of Frankford Hospital accompanied its physical changes, as well. Frankford Hospital teamed up with Aria Health to help provide expanded medical services for its patients. Recently, though, the hospital rebranded with Jefferson Health, renaming the facility the Jefferson Frankford Hospital.
The Jefferson Frankford Hospital Today
Today, the Jefferson Frankford Hospital is a 115-bed medical facility, offering a standard platter of medical services, from inpatient to outpatient services, from diagnostic to surgical procedures, and from emergency to rehabilitative care. Among the hospital’s services is the Health Center Clinic, which provides outpatient care for more than 5,000 patients on an annual basis.
Medical Malpractice at the Jefferson Frankford Hospital
Even the best doctors and surgeons make mistakes, and the ones that work at the Jefferson Frankford Hospital are no exception. Unfortunately, the repercussions of a doctor’s mistake are often far more severe than when someone else acts negligently: It can compromise your health, lead to severe pain and suffering, and alter the very path of your life as you deal with the complications of the mistake.
They can also saddle you with the often absurd costs of your recovery, as well.
This fact can feel like rubbing salt in the wound, as it forces you to bear the financial burden of someone else’s mistake, all while you are bearing its physical burden and going through the pain and suffering that you neither caused nor deserved.
This is why the personal injury and medical malpractice attorneys at Gilman & Bedigian strive to legally represent those who have been victimized by the mistake or negligence of a doctor or other medical professional. Contact us online if you or someone you love has been hurt while receiving care at the Jefferson Frankford Hospital, and want to be compensated for your losses.
